«Quin ei aqueth frut qui’s dindoleja sus l’arbo?»
O viatjedor, non baishes los uelhs davant jo
Tot secat, espepitat, un còs macat
Deisha’m contar-te la vertat
Dens lo parçan, un impòst qu’estó proclamat
Suu noste sau ; Lo Colbert que ns'a espleitat
Triste hat peus paisans !
Mes totun ligats
Audijòs que ns'a amassats
(Amic) Non siam pas enclavats
(Amic) Cau començar lo combat
Un saunei de libertat
Entau pòble ahamiat
(Amic) Auditz la nosta cançon
(Amic) Un perhum de rebellion
Tà nos lo camin serà deus longs
EN DAVANT ! Invisibles, tostemps hardits
EN DAVANT ! Invisibles, jamèi fenits
Tu, gabelaire ! Semiant lo sacatge
Enten l’arbaròt dens lo vilatge
Shens cès, tot dia,
òmis deu rei qu’acorsan
Hòrabandits, quauques uns qu’estón gahats
A la còrda, arrodats o esmatucats
Vius o morts, guerrièrs demoran
(A nuèit) Los hantaumas silenciós
(A nuèit) Que s’apressan deus dragons
Quan escopeishen las ehlamas
Que’s hèn panar la lors amnas
(Pagar) Que’s pelejan lo redémer
(Entà) Un cabelh de bandolèr
Gabèla acaçada a Sent Sevèr
EN DAVANT ! Invisibles, tostemps hardits
EN DAVANT ! Invisibles, jamèi fenits
Tu, gabelaire ! Semiador de mautemps
Lo torment que dura chic de temps
EN DAVANT ! Invisibles, tostemps hardits
EN DAVANT ! Invisibles, jamèi fenits
Tu, gabelaire !
Desesperat e shens defensa
Com la flor que lo vent engença
D'ara enlà, mort arrecadís
En repaus au paradís
Adiu, qu'èi perdut la joenessa
E la flor que lo vent careça
E la flor que lo vent careça »

The invisibles
« What is this fruit swaying on the tree ?»
O traveller, do not drop your gaze
All dried up, emptied, wounded
Let me tell you the truth
In the region, a tax was announced
On our salt. Colbert has ruined us
Very sad fate for farmers !
But we stay united
Audijos has gathered us
(Friend) Don't be enchained
(Friend) The fight must start
A dream of liberty
For the starving people
(Friend) Listen to our song
(Friend) The scent of rebellion
It's a long road ahead for us
FORWARD HO ! Invisibles, always bold
FORWARD HO ! Invisibles, never ending
You, salt taxer ! Sowing pillage
Hear the clamour from the village
Everyday without fail,
The King's men come running
Banished, some of them got caught
To the noose, on the wheel or beaten
Dead or alive, they are forever warriors
(At night) Silent ghosts
(At night) Closing in on the dragons
When they breathe fire
Their souls are stolen away
(Pay) They argue the ransom
(For) A bandit's face
Salt tax banned from Saint Sever
FORWARD HO ! Invisibles, always bold
FORWARD HO ! Invisibles, never ending
You, salt taxer ! Trouble sower
Torment never lasts forever
FORWARD HO ! Invisibles, always bold
FORWARD HO ! Invisibles, never ending
You, salt taxer ! That makes us pay tax
Tomorrow we shall sing your requiem
« Who wants to listen to a new song ?
Long live the king without salt tax
Hooves mark the pace
And the flower swings in the wind
I went away to war
My heart in a foreign land
Gallows for a reward
And the flower swings in the wind
Hung for Pentecost
On the noose I wriggle
Look at my feet dance
Like the flower swings in the wind
Now dead and stiff
Resting in paradise
I miss youth
And the flower caressed by the wind
And the flower caressed by the wind »

Invisibles, toujours hardis
EN AVANT ! Invisibles, jamais finis
Toi, gabeleur !
Invisibles, toujours hardis
EN AVANT ! Invisibles, jamais finis
Toi, gabeleur ! Semeur de mauvais temps
Le tourment ne dure jamais longtemps
EN AVANT ! Invisibles, toujours hardis
EN AVANT ! Invisibles, jamais finis
Toi, gabeleur ! Qui nous fait payer l’impôt
Demain nous chanterons ton requiem
« Qui veut ouïr chanson nouvelle ?
Vive le roi sans la gabelle
Les sabots donnent la cadence
Et la fleur que le vent balance
Je suis parti à la guerre
Le cœur en terre étrangère
La potence pour récompense
Et la fleur que le vent balance
Pendu pour la pentecôte
Sous la corde je gigote
Voilà mes deux pieds qui dansent
Comme la fleur que le vent balance
Désormais mort et raidi
Au repos en paradis
Je regrette l'adolescence
Et la fleur que le vent balance
Et la fleur que le vent balance »

I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here. David Fischer

Allow me to copy Pagan Altar's third album title to describe not only III:Pentecost but the whole discography of Wytch Hazel so far: well, yes, it's Magical and Mythical!!! A must-have for the lovers of 70's hard sound revival. BoneWalker
